A report by the World Bank showed that Port Said harbor has advanced three places in the container performance index for the year 2022 to jump from the 13th to the 10th place, the Cabinet's Information and Decision Support Center said.

The center said this is the first index that assesses harbors based on the time spent by the ship in the port, the efficiency of the port infrastructure, the efficiency of the berths, the quality of roads, the linking of the port with railways, the effectiveness of procedures, and the extent to which the port is used by various agencies in the field of container unloading.

China's Yangshan Port was ranked the first in the World Bank index performance to be followed by Salalah port, UAE's Khalifa port and Morocco's Tanja port.
