The Cabinet Media Center has dismissed as groundless reports that Egyptians holding a visa to Saudi Arabia will be allowed to perform Hajj (pilgrimage) this year.

In a statement on Monday 29-5-2023, the Cabinet said it contacted the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities which denied the news the groundless.

Those who will be allowed to perform Hajj should hold a pilgrimage visa, added the statement.

The media center appealed to all media outlets and social media users to verify the reports before publishing them and contact the cabinet on (01155508688 - 01155508851) or (rumors@idsc.net.eg) to avoid confusion.
