The President’s spouse Entisar El-Sisi received Jill Biden. US First Lady Jill Biden expressed the appreciation of the US government and people to Egypt. Biden's remarks came in a meeting on Friday with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and his spouse.

Egypt comes in Jill Biden’s second stop on a week-long, four-country tour in the region which started with Jordan where she attended the wedding of Jordanian Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Jill Biden during her meeting with women and youth, highlighted US investments aim at supporting education initiatives and increasing economic opportunity”, the US embassy in Cairo said in its statement on the visit.
The US embassy added that during her visit, the US First Lady will continue to build on her work to empower young people.

Jill Biden wrote, through her account on the "Twitter" site, upon her arrival in Cairo, thanking the president's spouse: "Thank you for the warm welcome to Egypt, the mother of the world."

The visit also reaffirms the commitment of the US to strengthening partnerships and advancing shared priorities in the region, the US embassy said.

This is the first time for Jill Biden to visit Egypt and the Middle East as the US First Lady.
