Local Development Minister Hisham Amna said the state has restored 609,000 square meters after removing 928 encroachments and demolishing 2,379 violating buildings during campaigns to remove encroachments on state-owned lands.

This came during Amna's discussion of a report which he received from the operations and crises management room of the ministry about the outcome of efforts exerted by the governorates to implement the second phase of removing violations on state-owned assets.

The current campaign falls within the framework of removing encroachments on state-owned lands.

The campaign started on Saturday and will last until June 16.

The third stage will be launched from June 24 until July 14.
