Friday، 29 September 2023 - 02:15 PM

Minister of State for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates' Affairs Soha Gendy said her ministry works on creating a database on Egyptian scientists and experts abroad to make the best use of their expertise.
Gendy made the remarks during her meeting with Hany El Kateb, the president's adviser for agriculture affairs and professor of forest science at the Technical University of Munich, as they discussed a strategy for benefiting from the expertise of Egyptian scientists abroad in executing development projects, according to a statement released by the emigration ministry on Thursday 28/09/2023.
The two sides reviewed a project to establish green future communities that could help address the problems of food, water and energy.
On his part, Kateb said the green future communities' project includes eco-friendly agricultural systems.
Kateb added the project is a biodynamic agricultural area that is equipped with a water source, either fresh water or salt water, and uses modern technology that consumes 10% to 20% of the water used in the open field in agriculture.
Kateb suggested establishing a project to increase the cultivation of wood-producing trees in Egypt that are similar to forest trees, which in turn increases the country's production of woods.
