The Egyptian ambassador reviewed Egypt's efforts in the past years to highlight its rich heritage and civilization, by drawing up an ambitious plan that included opening 25 new museums across the country to display the largest number of Egyptian antiquities, in addition to the upcoming inauguration of the Grand Egyptian Museum, that will become an icon of the world's museums, according to a statement released by the Foreign Ministry on Thursday 28/09/2023.
The ambassador said the State succeeded in renovating the sites and destinations of cultural heritage, as well as preserving historical sites.
He referred to the State's strategy for revamping the suburbs of Old Cairo to transform it into an open museum that reflects the unique mix between ancient and contemporary civilizations in Egypt.
