President Abdel Fattah El Sisi witnesses session titled “National Projects and Infrastructure” as part of “Story of A Homeland” Conference

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi witnessed, on Sunday 1st of October, 2023, the second day of proceedings of “The Story of A Homeland.. Between Vision and Achievement” at the New Administrative Capital.

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, a number of ministers, top state officials, representatives of the Egyptian society and a galaxy of experts in the various fields are attending the conference.

The “National Projects and Infrastructure” session started with screening a documentary film on the achievements of the housing sector, with a a special focus on the state’s key objective of providing proper housing for all Egyptians.

The film said 358 unsafe areas have been developed with a total cost of EGP 8 billion from 2014 till 2022. This includes 97 percent of areas that can undergo development, while 90 percent of areas, that can never be upgraded, have been removed.

Also, as many as 1.2 million social housing units are currently under construction with a cost of EGP 540 billion, the film explained, adding that 24 new cities have been constructed and 14 others will be launched soon, in addition to establishment of the new administrative capital to be a hub for businesses.

Meanwhile, the documentary highlighted that tourist cities such as Al Galala and New Alamein have been constructed.
