Dr. Hani Sweilem, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, held a meeting to follow up on cooperation with African countries in general and to assist the Nile Basin in particular in the field of improving and developing irrigation.

During the meeting, exceptional reviews were held between the Ministry's special agencies and the Ministry's "general program", so that the Ministry of Water Food and Irrigation provides the distinguished expertise it possesses in the sectors of irrigation development and modern irrigation to transfer it financially.

A meeting is scheduled to be held later with World Food Program officials.

Dr. Sweilem stated that Egypt, the current Prime Minister of African Water Ministers (AMCO), prefers to support sister African countries, and has experience with various African countries in the field of water, as Egypt is keen to transfer the experiences and successful models that its sister finances possess in various applications of modern irrigation systems in agricultural diseases. Which is reflected in the increased growth of multiple crops and a variety of water units, in addition to rainwater projects, which provide complete protection in African countries while providing fresh water sources for consumption and integrated care in these countries.

The Ministry was also keen to provide many capacity-building programs for African specialists through the “African Center for Climate Adaptation” (PAN AFRICAN), which Egypt launched under the umbrella of guidance and to benefit experts and workers in the field of water and climate in African countries.
