Environment Minister Yasmine Fouad said on Wednesday 21/2/2024 the political leadership is paying a greater attention to transition to the clean energy file.

The Egyptian government has been supporting this file during COP27, she said, asserting Egypt's greater interest in backing the industry sector to rely on low-cost technology that reduces carbon emissions to achieve and secure sustainable energy future.

Fouad's remarks came while participating in a session, themed "Sustainability of Energy", which was held on the sidelines of Egypt Energy Show (EGYPES 2024) and in the presence of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister Tarek Molla.
