Tuesday، 16 April 2024 - 12:20 PM

The National Alliance For Civil Development Work (NACDW) has launched the second phase of the sixth aid convoy dedicated to residents of the Gaza Strip.

The convoy includes more than 126 trucks carrying 2,400 tons of foodstaff, medicine, medical supplies, potable water, mattresses, tents, blankets and cloths, according to the media center of the NACDW.

This comes in line with directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to provide immediate and sustainable relief support for Palestinians, amid the ongoing war in Gaza that left thousands dead and injured.

The aid convoy contains more than 2,067 tons of food supplies, 64 tons of drugs and medical equipment, 21 tons of cloth and blankets, more than 20 tons of tents and mattresses, in addition to 185 tons of potable water, the alliance said.

The NACDW is an initiative launched in Egypt in March 2022. It aims to ensure the effective engagement of civil society institutions in developing communities and meeting their legitimate needs. The alliance comprises more than 30 associations, civil society organizations, and service and developmental entities.
