Guardian: Kerry wants to satisfy Egyptian regime

The British Guardian newspaper said that US Secretary of State John Kerry is attempting to heal the rift between Cairo and Washington through criticizing the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) group.
It added that Kerry’s criticism is his second attempt to satisfy the current Egyptian regime, where he said that the overthrow of the Muslim Brotherhood is necessary to prevent the country from falling in the hands of extremists.
The newspaper asserted that Kerry’s statements will be positively welcomed by the Egyptian administration. Reports said Kerry's statements have also frustrated the MB.
On Wednesday, Kerry argued that Egypt’s 2011 revolution was started by tech-savvy young people with no ideological aims before being “stolen by” Islamists from the MB, who behaved autocratically after winning parliamentary and presidential elections.
