Saturday، 09 May 2015 - 12:00 AM

President Abdel Fatah El Sisi is taking part in Moscow's celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of the victory over Nazi Germany in World War II.

The president's participation came in response to an invitation by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Many of the world leaders are also attending the events.

President Sis will hold with his Russian counterpart a bilateral meeting in the Kremlin to discuss the outcome of the latter's visit to Cairo in February 2015 as well as Sisi's visit to Sochi in August 2014.

The celebrations will kick off in the Red Square by showing massive military parades, after which, the leaders will head to the unknown soldier memorial to lay wreaths.

On Friday, President Sisi attended a dinner banquet hosted by Russian President Vladimir Putin to mark the Russian Victory Day.
