Presidential Level

• Finnish President Tarja Halonen visited Egypt for the third time in October to meet former president Hosny Mubarak. 

Ministerial Level

• Finnish Prime Minister Matti Vanhanen visited Egypt on the 16th July 2009 to attend the Non-aligned conference.
• Finnish Speaker of the Parliament Sauli Niinisto visited Cairo in November 2008.
• Finnish Foreign Minister Alexander Stubb participated in the of Gaza Reconstruction conference in Sharm El Shaik held in January 2009.
