Political consultations between Egypt and Georgia were held at the Assistant Foreign Ministerial level. The last round was held in December 2009 in Cairo.

President Abdul-Fattah El-Sisi received On 19/6/2014 congratulatory cables from President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili for assuming his new post as the president of Egypt.
