The Protocol on scientific and technological cooperation between Egypt and Slovenia came into force with effect from December 1, 2008, the President of the Euro-Mediterranean University visited a number of universities, research centers and science in Egypt during the second half of 2009, the most recent invitation from the Director of the Egyptian diplomatic Institute to visit Egypt, which resulted in the signing of a memorandum of understanding for cooperation between the Euro-Mediterranean University and the Egyptian diplomatic Institute in the December 15, 2009 during a visit by the Slovenian Prime Minister to Egypt.
