In 2010, the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Plurinational State of Bolivia, formerly named the Republic of Bolivia, celebrated fifty years of diplomatic relations.
Since establishment of diplomatic relations, the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt has been and continues to be the only Embassy in La Paz from the Arab region and the African continent.
