On November 8th and 9th, 2010, President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology Maged El-Sherbini visited Colombo to participate in the meeting of the NAM Ministers of Science and Technology.
On August 4th – 7th, 2010, Ambassador Hesham Badr visited Sri Lanka to participate in the 1st meeting concerned with reviving the G-15 in Colombo.
On June 13th – 19th, 2010, Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs Ambassador Ahmed Fat’hallah visited Sri Lanka and signed a Memorandum of Understanding on establishing a mechanism for political consultation between the Egyptian and Sri Lankan Foreign Ministries.
On July 11th-16th, 2009, Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa and his spouse visited Egypt heading a Sri Lankan delegation to participate in the 15th NAM Summit in Sharm El-Sheikh.

On October 22nd -23rd, 2004, Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs Ambassador Ezzat Saad visited Sri Lanka.
