On 21-23/1/2011: The Gabonese President Ali-Ben Bongo and his spouse visited Cairo, where they met with the Egyptian President and his spouse. The visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations. The Gabonese President was accompanied by the Gabonese Ministers of Education, Health, and Economy.

On 30/3-2/4/2009: Ambassador Nevin Ashmawy paid an official visit to Gabon within an African tour to inaugurate the Egyptian-Gabonese Medical Centre.
