Egypt and Zambia enjoy deeply rooted and cordial Political relationship, which are not tainted by fundamental differences, they mutually agreed upon major issues such as the reform and expansion of Security Council. Also, Zambia supports the majority of Egyptian Candidates for international positions, and voted for the resolution submitted by Egypt to apply the safeguards of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in the Middle East in 2008/2009, after abstaining from the vote in 2007.
